Job summary

Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services is seeking adaptable registered nurses to join a dedicated team delivering patient-centered care across multiple facilities in Missouri. Roles offer flexible day or night shifts with no weekend or holiday requirements, supporting work-life balance while maintaining high-quality care.

As part of the Gig Nursing Program, you’ll schedule hours, stay on-call, and adapt to potential shift changes, while collaborating with Behavioral Health, ICU, ED, M/S,

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in Missouri, meeting licensing requirements.
• Minimum bedside RN experience: 1 year Med Surg; 2 years for ED/ICU; Epic experience preferred.
• Certifications: BLS (and ACLS/PALS where required) for specified areas.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and perform essential movements.

Responsibilities

• Provides flexible RN coverage across departments with patient-centered care.
• Evaluates effectiveness of care and coordinates with departments.
• Maintains professional accountability and adheres to mission and standards.
• Participates in Gig Nursing Program with scheduling and on-call duties.
• Works across Behavioral Health, ED, ICU, Medical-Surgical, and Women's Health.

Role Overview And Responsibilities

Provides flexible, incentivized RN positions with options for day or night shifts, without weekend or holiday requirements.

Participates in the Gig Nursing Program, which involves scheduling a minimum number of hours, being available on short notice, and accepting potential shift cancellations.

Works across departments such as Behavioral Health, Emergency Department, ICU, Medical-Surgical, and Women's Health in various facilities.

Qualifications And Skills

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program, preferably with a BSN.
• Current RN license in the state of practice, meeting all licensing requirements.
• Minimum of one year recent bedside RN experience for Med Surg; two years for specialty areas like ED or ICU. Epic experience is preferred.
• Certifications: BLS for Med Surg, Behavioral Health, Women's Health; BLS and ACLS for Critical Care; BLS, ACLS, PALS for Emergency Department. Additional certifications may be required after employment.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, stand, walk, and perform movements such as bending, reaching, and kneeling.
