Job summary

Indiana University Health in Bloomington is seeking passionate, experienced nurses to join our Pediatrics team in the Women Services Center, attached to the Postpartum unit. This 6–10 bed unit serves pediatric patients with varying acuity and occasional adult care, offering growth through collaboration with leading medical professionals.

Qualifications

  • Requires an ASN; BSN preferred.
  • Requires active RN license in Indiana or an active NLC RN license.
  • Must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Exceptions: candidates with >2 years acute care experience may be considered with review by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department policies.

Part-time and Full-time roles are eligible for a $30,000 sign-on bonus (available through 9/30/2026). This position is also referral eligible.

The Pediatrics unit is in our Women Services Center, attached to the Postpartum unit. This is a 6-10 bed unit dedicated to the patient population of children and some adults. The acuity level of the children will range from low to high, however, the adults will typically have a low acuity.

Qualifications:
  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
