Incredible Health is hiring for a Registered Nurse – Pediatric PACU in the Detroit, MI area. The role focuses on post-operative care for pediatric patients, monitoring vitals, and assisting with anesthesia-related needs.

Strong collaboration with surgeons and anesthesiologists is essential to ensure smooth room-to-home transitions. Ideal candidates hold an ADN or higher in nursing with an active RN license; pediatric PACU/ICU experience is preferred, along with BLS/ACLS/PALS certification.

Formación

• ADN or higher nursing degree.
• Active, unencumbered RN license.
• 1+ year pediatrics with PACU/ICU experience.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certification preferred.
• Experience with pediatric equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Provide immediate post-operative care to pediatric surgical patients.
• Monitor vital signs and manage anesthesia-related symptoms.
• Administer prescribed medications and follow care plans.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia teams for patient transfers.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and wound management.
• Maintain accurate documentation according to hospital policies.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher degree in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certification preferred
• 1+ years of experience in pediatrics as well as a PACU, ICU, or similar high-acuity setting preferred
• Experience with pediatric medical equipment and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of healthcare professionals, children, and families

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to pediatric surgical patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing symptoms of anesthesia
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transition from the operating room to the PACU to discharge home
• Educate young patients and their families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures

Salary: $61,860 to $100,870 /year
