Job summary

Incredible Health is hiring a PACU RN in Providence, RI to care for post-operative patients and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative teams.

Required ADN or higher, active RN license, BLS/ACLS, and EMR proficiency; 1 year PACU/ICU experience preferred. Available as full-time, part-time, or per diem with benefits including 401K and PTO. Training and hospital support provided.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher in nursing required.
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license.
• 1 year of PACU/ICU or similar high-acuity experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications and carry out treatment plans.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists for safe transitions to discharge.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and wound care.
• Maintain accurate documentation per hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing symptoms of anesthesia
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transition from the operating room to the PACU to discharge home
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures

Salary: $61,340 to $161,290 /year
