Incredible Health in the Washington, DC area is hiring a Registered Nurse - Pediatric ER to provide urgent pediatric care across day, night, and mid shifts. Opportunities include full-time, part-time, and per diem positions in a Magnet-recognized hospital.

Required ADN or higher in nursing with RN license; BLS/ACLS/PALS preferred; at least 1 year of pediatric/ER experience; strong communication and pediatric equipment skills are essential to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher degree in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certification preferred
• 1+ years of experience in a pediatric and/or emergency room (ER) setting preferred
• Experience with pediatric medical equipment and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of healthcare professionals, children, and families

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first line of defense for young patients who require any type of urgent medical care
• Treat pediatric patients who are suffering from trauma, injury or severe medical conditions
• Quickly assess patients' needs and prioritize care
• Monitor patient health conditions, administer medications and other treatments, and operate and maintain medical equipment
• Participate in code blue and other emergency situations
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
• Educate patients, including children and adolescents, and their families about the patient's condition and care plan
