Incredible Health is recruiting for a Registered Nurse – Pediatric ER in the Washington, DC area. Multiple shifts and full/part-time/per diem roles are available in a Magnet-recognized hospital family.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first line of defense for young patients who require any type of urgent medical care.
• Treat pediatric patients with trauma, injury or severe medical conditions.
• Assess patients' needs quickly and prioritize care.
• Monitor health conditions, administer medications and operate medical equipment.
• Participate in code blue and other emergency situations.
• Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement care plans, deciding discharge or admission.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and care plans.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher degree in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certification preferred
• 1+ years of experience in a pediatric and/or emergency room (ER) setting preferred
• Experience with pediatric medical equipment and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of healthcare professionals, children, and families
