Job summary

Incredible Health is recruiting a Registered Nurse for PCU/Stepdown in Winston-Salem, NC. You will care for medium to high acuity patients, monitor vitals and IV drips, and collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Strong nursing fundamentals and certification in BLS/ACLS are required. This role offers day and night shifts with full-time, part-time, and per diem options, plus comprehensive benefits and opportunities for sign-on support.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher in nursing
• Active RN license in good standing
• 1 year stepdown/progressive, neurology or high-acuity experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong hemodynamic monitoring and rhythm interpretation skills

Nurses with experience in any of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: Bariatric, BiPap monitoring, COVID, CVA, Cardiac Drip Management, DKA patients, High acuity patients, Post cardiac intervention, or Sheath pulls.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in stepdown/progressive, neurology, cardiac, or another medium to high acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation and other advanced nursing care practices
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care for patients with medium to high acuity needs, closely monitoring vital signs, IV drips and other key indicators
• Administer medications and implement complex treatment plans, ensuring that medical orders are carried out accurately and promptly
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
• Educate patients and their families on the management of their acute or chronic conditions, including the proper use of equipment like BiPAP/CPAP/Home Oxygen and vital sign or blood sugar monitors
• Maintain timely and accurate patient records, adhering to hospital and departmental policies and regulations

Salary: $59,910 to $98,025 /year
