Job summary

Incredible Health in Plano, TX seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the PCU/Stepdown unit. The role supports medium to high acuity patients with vital sign monitoring, IV management, and complex treatment plans.

Responsibilities include interdisciplinary collaboration, patient and family education, and precise documentation. Eligible candidates hold an ADN or higher, RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications; other shifts and scheduling options are available.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (ADN) or higher in nursing is required.
• Active RN license without encumbrances.
• 1 year in stepdown/progressive, neurology, cardiac, or similar high acuity setting preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for medium to high acuity patients with close monitoring of vitals and IVs.
• Administer medications and execute complex treatment plans accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers and other staff for optimal care.
• Educate patients and families on condition management and device usage.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with policies.

Nurses with experience in any of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: Bariatric, BiPap monitoring, COVID, CVA, Cardiac Drip Management, DKA patients, High acuity patients, Post cardiac intervention, or Sheath pulls.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in stepdown/progressive, neurology, cardiac, or another medium to high acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation and other advanced nursing care practices
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care for patients with medium to high acuity needs, closely monitoring vital signs, IV drips and other key indicators
• Administer medications and implement complex treatment plans, ensuring that medical orders are carried out accurately and promptly
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
• Educate patients and their families on the management of their acute or chronic conditions, including the proper use of equipment like BiPAP/CPAP/Home Oxygen and vital sign or blood sugar monitors
• Maintain timely and accurate patient records, adhering to hospital and departmental policies and regulations
