Job summary

Incredible Health in Fresno, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PCU/Stepdown unit to care for medium to high acuity patients and monitor vital signs, IV drips, and treatments.

The ideal candidate holds an ADN or higher, an active RN license, and BLS/ACLS. Experience in stepdown or similar high-acuity settings is preferred, with EMR proficiency and strong cardiac monitoring skills.

Qualifications

• Must have ADN or higher in nursing
• Active RN license in good standing
• BLS and ACLS certifications per American Heart Association
• 1 year experience in stepdown/progressive or related high-acuity setting preferred
• Strong hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
• Proficient with electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care for medium to high acuity patients, monitoring vital signs and IV drips
• Administer medications and manage complex treatment plans
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers and others to ensure optimal care
• Educate patients and families on management of acute or chronic conditions and equipment use (BiPAP/CPAP/Home Oxygen)
• Maintain accurate patient records in line with hospital policies

Nurses with experience in any of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: Bariatric, BiPap monitoring, COVID, CVA, Cardiac Drip Management, DKA patients, High acuity patients, Post cardiac intervention, or Sheath pulls.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in stepdown/progressive, neurology, cardiac, or another medium to high acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation and other advanced nursing care practices
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

• Administer medications and implement complex treatment plans, ensuring that medical orders are carried out accurately and promptly
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
• Educate patients and their families on the management of their acute or chronic conditions, including the proper use of equipment like BiPAP/CPAP/Home Oxygen and vital sign or blood sugar monitors
• Maintain timely and accurate patient records, adhering to hospital and departmental policies and regulations
