Incredible Health in Raleigh, NC is hiring a Registered Nurse for the PCU/Stepdown unit. The role involves caring for medium to high acuity patients, monitoring IV drips, administering meds, and collaborating with physicians and care teams.

Ideal candidates hold an ADN or higher, active RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications; 1 year of relevant stepdown or cardiac experience is preferred. Multiple shifts and full/part-time/per diem options are available.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher nursing degree and active RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• 1 year of stepdown/progressive, neurology, cardiac or similar high-acuity setting preferred.
• Strong hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation skills.
• Proficient with electronic medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care for medium to high acuity patients with vital sign and IV drip monitoring.
• Administer medications and implement complex treatment plans promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers and other staff.
• Educate patients and families on condition management and use of BiPAP/CPAP and monitors.
• Maintain timely and accurate patient records per hospital policy.

Job description

Hospitals on Incredible Health are actively hiring and accepting applications in the Raleigh, NC area for the following position: Registered Nurse - PCU / Stepdown. Nurses with experience in any of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: Bariatric, BiPap monitoring, COVID, CVA, Cardiac Drip Management, DKA patients, High acuity patients, Post cardiac intervention, or Sheath pulls.

• Shift(s) available: day shift, night shift, and mid shift

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in stepdown/progressive, neurology, cardiac, or another medium to high acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation and other advanced nursing care practices
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care for patients with medium to high acuity needs, closely monitoring vital signs, IV drips and other key indicators
• Administer medications and implement complex treatment plans, ensuring that medical orders are carried out accurately and promptly
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
• Educate patients and their families on the management of their acute or chronic conditions, including the proper use of equipment like BiPAP/CPAP/Home Oxygen and vital sign or blood sugar monitors
• Maintain timely and accurate patient records, adhering to hospital and departmental policies and regulations

Salary: $59,900 to $95,220 /year
