Job summary

Incredible Health in Canton, GA is actively hiring a Registered Nurse for the PCU/Stepdown to care for medium to high acuity patients in a hospital setting.

You will provide specialized nursing care, monitor vital signs and IV drips, administer medications, collaborate with physicians and therapists, and educate patients and families on equipment like BiPAP and home oxygen. This role requires ADN or higher, active RN license, BLS and ACLS, and EMR proficiency.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher in nursing and active RN license.
• 1 year experience in stepdown/progressive, neurology or cardiac preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Strong hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care for medium to high acuity patients, monitor vitals and IV drips.
• Administer medications and execute complex treatment plans promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and case managers for optimal care.
• Educate patients and families on management of conditions and use of BiPAP/CPAP/Home Oxygen.
• Maintain accurate patient records per policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in stepdown/progressive, neurology, cardiac, or another medium to high acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation and other advanced nursing care practices
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

• Administer medications and implement complex treatment plans, ensuring that medical orders are carried out accurately and promptly
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
• Educate patients and their families on the management of their acute or chronic conditions, including the proper use of equipment like BiPAP/CPAP/Home Oxygen and vital sign or blood sugar monitors
• Maintain timely and accurate patient records, adhering to hospital and departmental policies and regulations
