Job summary

Mount Carmel Grove City is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Progressive Care Unit. The Staff RN will orient on a rotating basis and then start on day or night shifts depending on unit needs.

The PCU is a 12-bed mixed medical/surgical unit serving a range of patients with opportunities to develop broad nursing skills. The RN will provide compassionate care under Ohio Nurse Practice Act guidelines and collaborate with the care team.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from school of nursing.
• Licensure: Current Ohio RN license to practice.
• Experience: 2 years of experience for Casual RNs.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care, ensures patient safety, and promotes evidence-based practice.
• Assesses and evaluates patient care, collaborates to develop a plan of care including physical, spiritual and educational components.
• Communicates pertinent information to team members in a timely manner and keeps patient/family updated.
• Documents assessments, interventions, and outcomes according to standards and guidelines.
• Assumes responsibility for care provided and documentation by other care givers as appropriate.
