Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care - Step Down unit at St. Anthony's in St. Petersburg. The role is full-time, night shift (6:45PM - 7:15AM) with a focus on nursing process, patient care, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

The RN will work in a hospital setting, ensure safe and effective care, and participate in care planning with families and other providers. BayCare emphasizes clinical excellence and team-based care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license and active state RN licensure.
• BLS certification.
• 6 months RN acute care experience.
• Associates Degree in Nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with inter-disciplinary care providers to develop and implement plans of care.
• Organizes and prioritizes care plans with patient and family input.
• Maintains patient safety by identifying risks and preparing the room environment.

Position Description: RN

The Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for professional accountability and development.

• The registered nurse collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others in a surgical unit
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.
