Job summary

St. David's HealthCare in Austin, TX seeks a Registered Nurse for the PCU MedSurg Float Pool. Under the House Supervisor, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients, impacting outcomes and nursing practice.

Required: RN license, AD or BSN, ACLS/BLS, NIHSS within stated times, no travel, 2 years’ experience. Offers comprehensive benefits, tuition/loan support, 401(k) match, and Magnet-designated environment.

Qualifications

  • Must be an RN with an active license.
  • ACLS certification required within 6 months of start date.
  • BLS certification required within 30 days of start date.
  • NIH Stroke Scale within 30 days of start date.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree required.
  • No travel.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients under the House Supervisor.

Under the direct supervision of the House Supervisor, according to hospital policies and procedures, the RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for her/his assigned patients.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (RN) Registered Nurse
  • Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
  • No Travel Required
