Qualifications

• Associate/Diploma prepared RN with 2+ years of experience. If hired without a BSN/MSN, must enroll within 1 year and complete within 5 years.
• BSN preferred from ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA accredited institution.
• Active Ohio RN license; may require licensure in other states.

Responsibilities

• Sustain understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards; monitor safety and departmental policies and procedures.
• Support leadership in compliance efforts to meet CMS standards; communicate safety and compliance concerns to leadership.
• Collect clinical data, follow algorithms and protocols; document plan of care and patient outcomes.
• Follow standards and guidelines; identify need for learning to improve patient care; seek help in unusual situations; participate in peer review and learning experiences.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team; participate in shared governance at point of care; contribute to shared decision making.
• Demonstrate Interprofessional Practice Model integration in all aspects of practice.
• Advocate for patient and family; consider cultural inclusion; assess ethical issues and patient rights.
• Integrate age-specific and culturally inclusive concepts into patient care.
