Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking a registered nurse to join our hospital team. You will coordinate procedural and surgical cases, admissions, and bed placement to ensure timely, safe patient care.

You will collaborate with the Patient Flow Leader, care managers and interdisciplinary teams to support bed availability, patient transfers and emergent needs. Current RN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• RN license is required upon hire; RN-Compact or multi-state licensing as applicable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or equivalent.
• Epic and 3M experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordination of all procedural and surgical cases for priority and accuracy of placement.
• Coordination of all admissions into the hospital (direct admissions, ED and hospital-to-hospital transfers).
• Coordination of unit-to-unit transfers to facilitate bed openings as needed.
• Daily communication with bed meeting members regarding census and bed needs.
• Ongoing critical thinking and clinical knowledge to determine the right placement for the right patient.

Education

Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
