Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care across inpatient and outpatient settings within a not-for-profit health system focused on patient-centered outcomes and health equity.

You will assess patients, develop and update care plans, administer medications, and coordinate with physicians and an interdisciplinary team while educating patients and families and contributing to quality and safety initiatives in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• ACLS preferred or obtained after hire.
• Specialty certification (CMSRN, PCCN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Assess patients, develop and update care plans, and document in the EHR.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies per standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and self-care.
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition.
• Support quality, safety, and infection prevention initiatives.
• Precept and mentor peers to foster learning and improvement.
• Participate in huddles, rounds, and care conferences to align goals and plans.
• Uphold Novant Health values of diversity, inclusion, and patient-centered service.
