Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, seeks a CNA/EMT/Paramedic for direct patient care in a medical-surgical unit under RN supervision. The role involves bedside reporting with IMAP/SBAR and active participation in CQI activities.

You will perform head-to-toe assessments, reassess pain, educate families on pain management, and help develop patient care plans with the RN preceptor. This is a hospital-based, on-site position.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing.
• Fundamentals course completed in nursing school.
• Certified as a CNA, EMT or Paramedic.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates bedside report using IMAP & SBAR with patient inside room.
• Ability to perform head-to-toe assessment and ongoing reassessments per policy for all patients.
• Assess and reassess pain; educate patient and family on pain management.
• With RN preceptor, formulate a patient care plan.

Education
