Job summary

Sierra Medical Center in Reno, NV is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe, competent nursing care aligned with facility policies and philosophy. You will provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team, grounded in patient-centered care principles.

Responsibilities include assessing psychosocial and diversity needs, planning and coordinating care with the interdisciplinary team, and conducting hourly rounds to improve safety and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current Nevada nursing license.
• Current BLS certificate.
• Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Involves patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population-specific, and diversity needs in care assessment.
• Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill; integrates direct and indirect patient care for diagnoses and co-morbidities.
• Coordinates the interdisciplinary plan of care for assigned patients; develops goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans.
• Performs hourly rounds to strengthen nurse communication, improve safety, and anticipate patient needs.
