Job summary

Sierra Medical Center in Reno, NV, part of Universal Health Services, provides safe, competent nursing care across an acute-care environment. You will offer leadership and support to the healthcare team while upholding our Patient Centered Care philosophy and Service Excellence standards.

Duties include engaging patients and families, planning and coordinating care, and performing routine rounds to improve safety and communication.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current Nevada nursing license.
• Current BLS certificate.
• Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care assessment.
• Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill.
• Coordinates the interdisciplinary plan of care for assigned patients, developing goals, treatment and discharge plans.
• Completes hourly rounds with purpose to strengthen nurse communication, safety, and anticipate patient needs.
