Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care under general supervision at our Towson, MD facility. The role requires an Associate degree in Nursing and current RN licensure with CPR certification.

No prior experience is required, but strong communication and clinical skills are essential. The nurse will perform nursing assessments, plan and implement care, administer medications, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing required.
• Current RN registration with Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses; Healthcare Provider CPR biennial.
• Experience: None required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
• Plans and updates written nursing care plans and coordinates post-discharge care with the health team and family.
• Performs clinical nursing skills, administers medications and IV therapy, and initiates emergency procedures as needed.
• Delivers patient status updates and care plans through documentation and verbal communication with physicians and nurses.
• Educates patients and families using teaching/learning principles and participates in Nurse Residency Program activities.
