Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care under general supervision. The role requires an Associate degree in Nursing, Maryland RN licensure, and CPR certification. Demonstrated ability to educate patients/families and document care is essential.

The RN will perform assessments, develop and implement care plans, coordinate with the health team, and ensure timely communication and quality improvement within the unit.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current Maryland RN license.
• Healthcare Provider CPR certification (biennial).
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with nursing care planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using the nursing process and establish priorities.
• Plan and document a written nursing care plan based on nursing diagnoses.
• Coordinate care with patients, families, and health-team members.
• Administer medications and treatments and initiate emergency procedures as needed.
• Educate patients and families; teach discharge planning and record patient status.
• Participate in the Nurse Residency Program and continuously improve care.
