Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care under general supervision in Towson, MD. The role requires an Associate Degree in Nursing, a current Maryland RN license, and CPR certification, with advanced certifications upon hire for specialty areas.

One year of RN experience is preferred. The RN will plan, implement, and evaluate care, document thoroughly, and collaborate with the health team.

Qualifications

Associate degree in nursing from an accredited school.
Current Maryland RN license.
CPR certification (Healthcare Provider) required; ACLS/PALS/NRP for specialty areas upon hire.

Responsibilities

Assess and formulate nursing diagnoses using the Nursing Process.
Plan, implement, and evaluate a written nursing care plan.
Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments and initiate emergencies as needed.
Coordinate patient care with family, significant others, and health team members.
Document patient status and care plans; communicate with physicians and staff.
Provide patient and family teaching; participate in discharge planning.
May precept or mentor new staff; support unit productivity and patient flow.
