Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care under general supervision in Towson, MD. Requires an Associate Degree in Nursing, current Maryland RN licensure and CPR certification.

Experience of at least one year as an RN is required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required for specialty areas upon hire. The role encompasses nursing process utilization, medication administration, care coordination with the health team, and teaching for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• Current RN license with Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses.
• CPR certification; ACLS/PALS/NRP upon hire for specialty areas.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Administer medications, IV therapies and treatments accurately.
• Coordinate patient care with the health team and document status and plans.
• Provide teaching and discharge planning guidance to patients and families.
• Demonstrate GBMC values in all interactions.
