Job summary

Wasatch Behavioral Health is hiring a Part-Time Registered Nurse for the Receiving & Outreach Center (ROC) in Provo, Utah. You will monitor medications, document care, and collaborate with the treatment team to support clients in behavioral health crisis management.

The role requires an Associate degree in Nursing and a Utah RN license, with LPN underfill considered. Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase. Evening/weekend shifts are possible and a drug screen is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited college.
• Current Utah RN license required. LPNs may be considered as an underfill.
• Mental health experience preferred.
• Must pass a drug screen, motor vehicle record review, and criminal background check.
• Must obtain a Utah Office of Licensing BCI clearance after hire.
• Must provide official licensure documentation upon conditional offer.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and administer medications while educating clients on proper use and treatment compliance.
• Track medication effects, recognize adverse reactions, and communicate observations to medical staff.
• Document doctor's orders, progress notes, and intake/admission records to ensure accuracy and audit readiness.
• Participate in treatment team reviews and maintain up-to-date clinical documentation.
• Coordinate with doctors, pharmacies, hospitals, and community partners to ensure continuity of care.
• Perform complete health assessments including vitals, mental status evaluations, and progress monitoring.
• Assist clients with accessing free or subsidized medication programs and maintain accurate medication inventories.
• Prepare pill boxes for designated programs and maintain controlled-substance logs.
• Communicate with clients, guardians, and prescribers regarding medication instructions and authorizations.
• Provide individual and group health education to support positive mental-health habits.
• Support residential programs with medication management, medical appointments, and daily wellbeing needs.
• Investigate documentation discrepancies and ensure compliance with WBH medication protocols.
