Job summary

Wasatch Behavioral Health is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse in Provo, UT to provide compassionate, client-centered behavioral healthcare with a multidisciplinary team. The role offers a competitive hourly wage and opportunities to support recovery and wellness for clients across programs.

You will monitor medications, document clinical notes, and collaborate with doctors, pharmacies, and community partners to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing and Utah RN license required.
• LPNs may be considered as an underfill.
• Mental health experience preferred.
• Must pass a drug screen, motor vehicle record review, and criminal background check.
• Must obtain Utah Office of Licensing BCI clearance after hire.
• Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and administer medications and educate clients on proper use.
• Track medication effects and communicate observations to medical staff.
• Document orders, notes, and intake records for accuracy and audit readiness.
• Participate in treatment team reviews and maintain clinical documentation.
• Coordinate with doctors, pharmacies, hospitals, and partners for continuity of care.
• Perform health assessments including vitals and mental status evaluations.
• Assist clients with accessing medication programs and maintain inventories.
• Prepare pill boxes and maintain controlled-substance logs.
• Communicate medication instructions with clients and prescribers.
• Provide health education to support mental-health habits.
• Support residential programs with medication management and appointments.
• Investigate documentation discrepancies and ensure protocol compliance.

Join Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Full-Time Registered Nurse and make a meaningful impact through compassionate, client-centered behavioral healthcare. You'll work alongside psychiatrists, DNPs/APRNs, and multidisciplinary teams to support the mental and physical health of clients across a variety of programs. This position offers a competitive wage of $23.03–$41.29/hour and the opportunity to help individuals and families improve their wellness, achieve greater independence, and move forward in their recovery journey.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:30 AM–5:30 PM
Compensation: $23.03–$41.29 DOE and Licensure

What You'll Do as a Registered Nurse

• Monitor and administer medications while educating clients on proper use and treatment compliance.
• Track medication effects, recognize adverse reactions, and communicate observations to medical staff.
• Document doctor's orders, progress notes, and intake/admission records to ensure accuracy and audit readiness.
• Participate in treatment team reviews and maintain up-to-date clinical documentation.
• Coordinate with doctors, pharmacies, hospitals, and community partners to ensure continuity of care.
• Complete health assessments including vitals, mental status evaluations, and progress monitoring.
• Assist clients with accessing free or subsidized medication programs and maintain accurate medication inventories.
• Prepare pill boxes for designated programs and maintain controlled-substance logs.
• Communicate with clients, guardians, and prescribers regarding medication instructions and authorizations.
• Provide individual and group health education to support positive mental-health habits.
• Support residential programs with medication management, medical appointments, and daily wellbeing needs.
• Investigate documentation discrepancies and ensure compliance with WBH medication protocols.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited college.
• Current Utah RN license required. LPNs may be considered as an underfill.

• Must provide official licensure documentation upon conditional offer.

Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position, you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.
