Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for Evanston, IL, with 5a–11a shifts Mon-Wed-Fri and call requirements. The role involves perioperative and PACU/ICU related duties on a unit, delivering safe patient care and collaborating with the care team. IL RN license and 1 year experience preferred; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Illinois RN license.
• 1 year experience in PACU/ICU/Behavioral Health preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS and PALS from the American Heart Association preferred.
• CPAN/CAPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective nursing care for all patient populations on a specific unit.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate the patient plan of care using the nursing process.
• Involve patient and family in the plan of care as appropriate.
• Ensure regulatory compliance in practice.
• Guide unlicensed staff in delivering interdisciplinary care.
• Communicate and collaborate with healthcare team to ensure patient outcomes.
• Perioperative care for patients undergoing ECT.
• Phase 1 & 2 care of peri-anesthesia patients from the Operating Rooms and supporting procedure areas.

Hourly Pay Range:

$37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Registered Nurse
• Location: Evanston (ability to travel other Endeavor Hospitals)
• Part time
• Hours: 5a to 11a M-W-F with call requirements

What you will do:

Independently provides safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations on a specific unit. Utilizes the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care. Includes patient and family in the plan of care as appropriate. Maintains regulatory compliance in individual practice. Assumes the responsibility, accountability, and authority for outcomes of nursing care and to make decisions based on their therapeutic relationship with the patient. Guides and directs assigned unlicensed nursing personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care. Communicates and collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.

• Perioperative care of patients undergoing Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT).
• Phase 1 &2 care of peri anesthesia patients from the Operating Rooms and supporting procedure areas.

What you will need:

• Education:
  • Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required. BSN preferred.
• License/Certification/Experience:
  • IL RN License
  • 1 year experience in comparable role, PACU/ ICU/ Behavioral Health experience preferred
  • CPR BLS issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS and PALS by the American Heart Association preferred
  • CPAN/CAPA preferred
