Job summary

Aura Health in Evanston, IL is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to provide perioperative and general nursing care across facilities, with travel as needed.

The role operates 5a–11a on Mon, Wed, Fri with call responsibilities, delivering safe, patient-centered care using the nursing process. Ideal candidates hold an IL RN license, BSN preferred, and have 1 year of relevant PACU/ICU/Behavioral Health experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing school; BSN preferred.
• Current IL RN license.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience; PACU/ICU/Behavioral Health experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS & PALS preferred.
• CPAN/CAPA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care across diverse patient populations using the nursing process.
• Involve patients and families in care planning while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Take responsibility and make decisions based on therapeutic relationships and patient outcomes.
• Supervise and guide unlicensed nursing staff in interdisciplinary care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Deliver perioperative care for patients undergoing Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT).
• Manage Phase 1 & 2 peri-anesthesia care from Operating Rooms and support areas.
