Job summary

St Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid Atlantic, is seeking a full-time RN for the post-anesthesia recovery area. The role focuses on immediate postoperative patient care and recovery in a fast-paced environment.

The staff RN will perform nursing processes to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs to ensure positive outcomes for post-anesthesia patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current license in the State of Delaware.
• 6–12 months experience in PACU or critical care.
• Previous experience in a critical care setting.
• Completion of a Critical Care Program.
• BCLS Certification; ACLS Certification; PALS Certification within six months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the immediate postoperative period using the nursing process.
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate patient needs to ensure positive outcomes.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective post-anesthesia recovery care.

Time Type: Full Time, 8hr shifts, 40hr per week

Shift: Days

The staff RN is a registered professional nurse who assumes responsibility for patient care during the immediate postoperative period. He/she provides direct patient care involving knowledge of and the ability to use the nursing process in assessing, diagnosing, planning and evaluating patient needs to ensure positive patient outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications (Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification/Skills)

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing

• Current license in the State of Delaware

• 6 – 12 months experience in PACU or critical care
