Unity Hospital in Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care as patients recover from anesthesia.
This full-time role is 40 hours/week, with 8- or 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday from 6am to 8pm, no weekends or holidays, and on-call requirements. The PACU team collaborates with anesthesiologists and surgeons to ensure safe, effective recovery.

The PACU is a Critical Care Unit providing care for patients who are recovering from surgery. In this role, you will monitor and assess patients’ vital signs recovering from anesthesia, identify and address any complications or changes in patient conditions, educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery expectations, and collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
Education: AS: Nursing (Required)
Licenses / Certifications: BLS - Basic Life Support (American Heart Association), RN - Registered Nurse (New York State Education Department)
M - Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
