Hours & Schedule

Part Time – 24 hours per week. Days 7a‑7p, rotating weekends and holidays. Note: Orientation is full time.

About the Unit

The 4300 unit is a 20‑bed medical‑surgical unit with Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) specialty. All RN & LPNs complete PD competency training, which is reimbursed by RRH.

Clinical Ladder

• Level I‑IV: Determined at hire based on qualifications and ladder requirements.
• Level II: Minimum 6 months RN experience, AAS in Nursing, 3 activities per pillar (Leadership, Quality, Organizational Contribution), 9 CEUs, 6 flex items.
• Level III: Minimum 1 year RN experience, AAS in Nursing, preceptor/charge experience, 4 activities per pillar, 12 CEUs, 15 flex items.
• Level IV: Minimum 1 year specialty experience, BS in Nursing, expanded leadership role, 5 activities per pillar, 15 CEUs, 20 flex items.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality, patient‑centered clinical care and perform initial and ongoing assessments.
• Communicate and document assessment findings with the interdisciplinary team.
• Utilize available resources to meet patient and family needs.
• Develop and document individualized care plans, treatments, and services.
• Comply with organizational policies, including safety, medication administration, and documentation.
• Revise care plans based on ongoing evaluations and update documentation.
• Complete at least one clinical research utilization (CRU) form per year using a recent U.S. research article.
• Maintain 5 nationally approved contact hours (CNE or CEU) annually, complete mandatory in‑services and health screens timely, and maintain BLS certification.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse license in NewYork State.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum 6 months RN experience.

Education & Certifications

AS: Nursing (required). BLS – Basic Life Support (American Heart Association). RN – Registered Nurse – NewYork State Education Department.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to exert 20‑50pounds of force occasionally, 10‑25pounds frequently, or >10pounds constantly to move objects; require frequent walking, standing or squatting.

Pay Range

$38.66 – $51.91 per hour.
