Job summary

Northwest Hospital, part of LifeBridge Health, seeks an experienced registered nurse to provide direct clinical patient care and contribute to high-quality, safe patient outcomes. You will assess, plan, implement, and monitor age-appropriate care per shift, with supervision duties for junior staff and collaboration with leadership.

Required: nursing degree and Maryland RN license (or eligibility); ACLS and PALS mandatory within specified timelines. Experience in critical care preferred.

• Provide direct clinical patient care and assess, plan, and implement age-appropriate nursing care per shift and unit.
• Supervise staff and ensure high-quality, safe patient care and appropriate resource use.
• Support the CNO in maintaining competency and patient care standards.

Summary

Under the direction of the unit manager, this role provides direct clinical patient care. The role will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct age-appropriate clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level. The role is responsible for supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated. The role is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.

Experience

Required: one year plus

Experience Note: Must have one year of experience with critical care preferred.

Licensures & Certifications

Required:

• Registered Nurse License - Current Maryland license or eligibility to obtain Maryland license
• Basic Life Support
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support

Credential Note: ACLS is required within 2 months of hire date and PALS required within 6 months of hire date.

Pay Range

$37.15 to $57.58 Based On Experience
