Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs, consciousness, and airway patency continuously.

• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress.
• Provide discharge instructions and education to patients and families.

• Manage post-operative pain, nausea, and complications such as hemorrhaging or infection.
• Administer medications and evaluate patient responses.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, including anesthesiologists and surgeons, to coordinate patient care.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress.
• Provide discharge instructions and education to patients and families.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree in Nursing necessary; Bachelor’s preferred.
• At least 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Current RN licensure in the appropriate state and required certifications, including specialty certifications.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to prioritize, organize workload, and adapt care based on patient age and needs.
• Knowledge of professional standards and commitment to ongoing education and evidence-based practice.
