Job summary

Paycom in Austin, TX is seeking a dedicated PACU Nurse to provide specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery. The RN will monitor, assess pain, and coordinate transitions to next care level, working closely with surgeons and families.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold Texas RN licensure (or compact), and have BLS/ACLS certification. A minimum of 2 years in PACU or ICU is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of two years in PACU or ICU.
• Texas RN licensure or compact license required.
• BLS and ACLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients in the immediate postoperative period.

The PACU RN monitors patients during the immediate postoperative period, assesses and manages pain, identifies and responds to complications, and ensures a safe transition to the next level of care. This role requires strong critical thinking skills, rapid assessment abilities, and effective communication with physicians, surgical teams, patients, and families.Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.Minimum of two (2) years work experience in PACU or ICU required.Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Texas or compact equivalent. BLS/ACLS Required.
