Job summary

Baptist Health in Louisville, KY seeks a Registered Nurse for the Outpatient Surgery Center. This part-time, 16-hour weekly position offers day shifts (6a-2:30p) with no weekends or holidays.

Possess strong perioperative knowledge, coordinate pre- and post-op care, and maintain compassionate patient interaction in a fast-paced setting. Active Kentucky nursing license and BCLS/ACLS/PALS required; prior preop/postop or critical care/telemetry experience preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide preoperative and postoperative nursing care.
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes promptly.

• Explain procedures and discharge instructions to patients and families.

Possesses strong clinical knowledge and skills regarding the perioperative experience. Must have good organizational skills, multitask with frequent interruptions, flexible working hours, and positive attitude with good communication skills. Must be willing and capable of working both pre and post -op areas Must be committed to high quality patient care and accept the responsibility that accompanies working in a fast paced environment.

Requirements

• Previous Preop or Postop experience preferred
• Critical Care / Telemetry experience preferred
• Be proficient in starting IVs
