Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky seeks a Registered Nurse for the Outpatient Infusion unit, full-time dayshift. You will deliver direct patient care from admission through discharge, coordinating with the care team to ensure evidence-based practices and high-quality outcomes.

Required ADN with Kentucky RN licensure, BLS, and oncology-focused certifications; Oncology CN within two years. This role includes ongoing alignment with physicians and multidisciplinary teams in a busy infusion setting.

Qualifications

• ADN degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
• ONS and Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification required to be completed before completion of orientation.
• Oncology Certified Nurse required within two years of hire.
• Must obtain Crisis Prevention within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission to discharge.
• Plan, assess, intervene, and evaluate care with an outcome-focused approach.
• Document care, outcomes, and evaluations; follow professional standards of care.
• Prioritize care based on changing assessment and patient needs.
• Maintain ongoing communication with physicians and other departments in the hospital.

Summary Job Description: Registered Nurse - Outpatient Infusion Full-Time Dayshift

The Registered Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. Planning, assessing, intervening, and evaluating the care of patient with an outcome focused approach from the initial assessment of patient, routine on-going assessment, implemented interventions as indicated, until and through the discharge of the patient, involving the patient, family, provider, and other members of the care team. Reviews and documents care provided, outcomes of care, and evaluations of care. Follows the professional standards of care. Applies evidence, professional standards, and best practice to bedside caregiving through critical thinking, experiential evidence, and evidence-based practices. Demonstrates ability to prioritize care based on changing assessment and needs of patients. Having ongoing communication with physicians and other departments in the hospital.

Requirements:

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.
