Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital is seeking an RN for Outpatient Complex Care. You will provide clinical support during clinic visits, triage, vital signs, and procedures to assist assessments in a specialized pediatric outpatient setting.

The role emphasizes wound care, patient management, and coordination of home visits and clinic follow-ups, with active liaison to inpatient teams during rounds and transitions. MA RN license is required, BSN preferred.

Position Summary: RN - Outpatient Complex Care RN

Outpatient care of medically complex children requires a unique clinical skill set and substantial care coordination. In the department of pediatrics, outpatient CCS cares for some of the most medically complicated patients within our hospital. Their care requires a strong clinical background, interest in care coordination needs and compassion for this unique population.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide direction and assistance to the care team during clinic visits and enhanced care coordination, including but not limited to patient triage, vital signs /measurements and procedures to support assessment.
• Provide wound care and management of patient with wounds and support for clinic/supply acquisition/home visiting/clinical follow-up.
• Liaison to our inpatient teams by attending rounds, family meetings and supporting Inpatient/Outpatient Care transitions.

Minimum qualifications:

• Education: BSN
• Experience: 5+ years RN experience preferred.
• Ideal candidate has experience caring for Complex medical pediatric patients.
• License/Certification: MA RN License required.
• Wound certification (WOCN) preferred.

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
