Job summary

Novant Health in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Surgery Navigation team for a Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm schedule at Medical Park Hospital. You will meet with patients before procedures and review pre-op instructions to educate them about their upcoming surgery.

The ideal candidate holds a current RN license and a 4-year degree is preferred. About one year of relevant experience and ability to travel to regional clinics as needed are also desirable.

Novant Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to work with the Surgery Navigation team for a Monday through Friday schedule. This RN will work with patients to review pre op instructions and provide education about their surgery.

What We're Looking For

• Education:
  • If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course, required.
  • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
• Experience:
  • One year relevant experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Current RN Licensure in appropriate state, required.
  • Advanced certifications as required per facility, required.
• Additional Skills (required):
  • Appropriate customer service, effective and appropriate customer relations, verbal and non-verbalcommunication techniques, interpersonal relationship skills, conflict resolution, critical thinking and computer literacy. Advanced training as required by department.
