Job summary

Novant Health is seeking an experienced RN to join the Women’s Operating Room at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. You will prepare ORs, maintain sterile fields, and scrub or circulate during procedures in a focused OB/GYN surgical caseload.

This Monday–Friday schedule with some on-call discussed at interview requires prior OR experience and active RN licensure in the state. A Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred, with one year of relevant experience often valued.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms by ensuring availability and functionality of surgical instruments, supplies, implants, medications, and equipment.
• Assist with room setup and maintain sterile fields according to established surgical and infection control standards.
• Function in scrub and/or circulator roles during surgical procedures
• Anticipate surgeon, anesthesia provider, and surgical team needs throughout procedures

Location Details

• Location: Forsyth Medical Center – Winston-Salem, NC


• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm


• Call: Some call required (details discussed during interview)


• Prior operating room experience required for this position

What You’ll Do

• Prepare operating rooms by ensuring availability and functionality of surgical instruments, supplies, implants, medications, and equipment.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.




• Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.




• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
