Job summary

Novant Health is hiring an Operating Room registered nurse for the FT Day shift at our New Hanover Orthopedic Hospital in Wilmington, NC. The role requires scrub and circulate responsibilities in orthopedic cases, including total joints and sports medicine.

Minimum 1 year OR experience and active RN licensure are required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. This position is full-time with Day shift from 7am-7pm.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year operating room experience.
• Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred; active licensure required; reinstatement rules apply if lapsed.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and Circulate in orthopedic cases.
• Support ortho surgery including total joints and sports medicine.
• Demonstrate compassion, teamwork, and patient safety in the OR.

• Department: Operating Room – Orthopedic Hospital
• Requirements: Minimum 1 year Operating Room experience.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
