Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Illinois (IL RN).
• CPR and BLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience in the operating room.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients in the perioperative period.
• Assess and address patient safety concerns in collaboration with the surgical team.
• Assist with orientation of new staff, education programs, and ensure supplies/equipment are available.

Hourly Pay Range:$37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.Position Highlights:Position: Registered NurseLocation: Highland Park Hospital with the ability to float to other Endeavor locationsPer DiemHours: As neededWhat you will do:The Perioperative Registered nurse provides direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations during the perioperative period, using specialized knowledge and skills to achieve desired patient outcomes. The perioperative nurse functions as patient advocate. He/she assesses the surgical environment for potential patient safety concerns and intervenes appropriately while working with the surgical team to facilitate the completion of the surgical procedure. The Perioperative Registered nurse may assume responsibility for the orientation of new staff members, educational programs, and securing and maintaining supplies and equipment necessary for the delivery of care.What you will need:Education:Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required.
