Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Perioperative Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in the perioperative setting for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. The role supports patient advocacy and collaborates with the surgical team to ensure safe procedures across multiple locations.

The position requires an Illinois RN license with CPR and BLS, and at least two years of OR experience. Per diem hours are available, with opportunities for career growth within the Endeavor Health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved nursing program is required.
• Illinois RN license and CPR/BLS (American Heart Association) required.
• Minimum 2 years RN OR experience in perioperative environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients during the perioperative period.
• Assess the surgical environment for patient safety and intervene with the surgical team to facilitate procedures.
• May orient new staff, deliver educational programs, and manage supplies/equipment for care.

Education

Graduate of state approved school of nursing

Hourly Pay Range: $37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

What you will do:

The Perioperative Registered nurse provides direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations during the perioperative period, using specialized knowledge and skills to achieve desired patient outcomes. The perioperative nurse functions as patient advocate. He/she assesses the surgical environment for potential patient safety concerns and intervenes appropriately while working with the surgical team to facilitate the completion of the surgical procedure. The Perioperative Registered nurse may assume responsibility for the orientation of new staff members, educational programs, and securing and maintaining supplies and equipment necessary for the delivery of care.

What you will need:

• Education: Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required. BSN preferred.
• License/Certification: IL RN License CPR BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Experience: 2 yrs RN experience in OR
