Mercy Springfield is seeking registered nurses for a 3D Med-surg Telemetry unit. Nurses provide patient care using the nursing process, uphold patient rights, and collaborate with other departments. Shifts are 12 hours (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am) with weekend rotations. Full-time and part-time positions are available.

Qualifications

• Graduate or upcoming graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• Current RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or course completed within 30 days of hire.
• Physical demands include lifting 50 pounds regularly and prolonged standing/walking each shift.

Nurse Residency Available: Mercy Springfield offers a year-long Nurse Residency Program tailored to the specialty area in which each nurse is hired. All graduate nurses participate in the program, along with select experienced nurses based on their individual experience and professional development needs.

Position Details

Nurses work 12-hour shifts 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am with rotational weekends.

Full Time and Part Time available.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate or upcoming Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
• Physical requirements/demands:
• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

Unit Information

3D is a Med-surg Telemetry unit which focuses on adult medical patients that require telemetry monitoring. Join our Innovation Unit (IU), which will be a testing ground for new innovative/optimization ideas to solve current and future nursing challenges & opportunities using quick PDSA cycles for improvement. All projects will reside under our four ministry wide nursing strategies for improvement. Here you will develop excellent critical thinking and assessment skills as well as use a wide variety of clinical skills.
