Job summary

Confidential in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Operating Room team on a full-time day shift. You will prepare operating rooms, ensure sterile technique, and assist in scrubbing or circulating during procedures.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN or equivalent, active RN license in North Carolina, and has at least one year of OR experience. Training in infection control and readiness to support surgeons and anesthesia is expected.

Qualifications

• One year relevant OR experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Active RN licensure in the appropriate state; reinstatement rules may apply if lapsed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms by ensuring availability and functionality of instruments, supplies, implants, medications, and equipment.
• Assist with room setup and maintain sterile fields according to standards.
• Function in scrub and/or circulator roles during surgical procedures; anticipate team needs.

What We Offer:

Schedule : Full time day shift, 6:45A-7:15P (36 hours), 3 12's within window of M-F, some call/ weekend call requirements. This will be discussed more in depth during interview.Department:

Operating RoomLocation : Forsyth Medical Center, 3333 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC.

Unit Info: 17 OR rooms, 1:1 ratio, range of procedures.

Requirements:

Prior operating room experience required for this position.

What We're Looking For:

Education:

4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

Experience:

One year relevant experience, preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
