Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Perioperative Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care across pediatric to geriatric populations during the perioperative period. The perioperative nurse functions as patient advocate and collaborates with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient care.

The role is full-time, with hours from 6a to 3p, Monday through Friday, and call responsibilities. Applicants must graduate from a state-approved nursing program, hold an IL RN license, and have CPR/BLS

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required.
• IL RN License.
• CPR/BLS issued by American Heart Association.
• 2 yrs RN perioperative experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients perioperatively.
• Act as patient advocate and ensure patient safety during procedures.
• Assist with orientation, educational programs, and supply/equipment readiness.

Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

What you will do

The Perioperative Registered nurse provides direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations during the perioperative period, using specialized knowledge and skills to achieve desired patient outcomes. The perioperative nurse functions as patient advocate. He/she assesses the surgical environment for potential patient safety concerns and intervenes appropriately while working with the surgical team to facilitate the completion of the surgical procedure. The Perioperative Registered nurse may assume responsibility for the orientation of new staff members, educational programs, and securing and maintaining supplies and equipment necessary for the delivery of care.

What you will need

Education:

Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required. BSN preferred.

License/Certification:

IL RN License

CPR BLS issued by American Heart Association

Experience:

2 yrs RN experience in perioperative care - Preferred
