Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Service Line Supervisor is responsible for patient care, operational management, and human resources in the OR. This role supports quality of care standards, supervises OR staff, and ensures staff education and compliance are maintained. The supervisor acts as a liaison between physicians, physician offices, and the hospital, fostering strong working relationships. They also provide support across departments such as the Operating Room, Same Day Surgical, SET, and PACU, and serve on multidisciplinary committees.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required. A current and valid New Jersey nursing license or legal permission to work in New Jersey is necessary. CPR certification is also required.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 3 years RN experience in a perioperative setting is required.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Must hold a valid New Jersey RN license. CNOR certification, ACLS, and BLS certifications are preferred. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to manage a changing environment, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and exercise sound clinical judgment. Skills in time management, critical thinking, and attention to detail are essential, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
