Orthopedic Associates Surgery Center in Rocky Hill, CT is looking for a full-time OR Register Nurse to join our expert team. This Monday-Friday position involves no weekends or holidays, focusing on providing exceptional nursing care during orthopedic surgeries.

Orthopedic Associates Surgery Center is seeking to fill a full-time OR Register Nurse (40 hours per week) to join our team.

Schedule

This is a Monday – Friday position with NO Weekends or Holidays. Position schedule can vary (5x8hr or 4x10hr).

Position Summary

The Operating Room RN provides expert professional nursing care for the patient during the OR course. The RN demonstrates a leadership role with continued competence in assessment, treatment and caring for patients. The RN is dedicated to providing safe, quality care in a compassionate and efficient manner.

Position Requirements

• Unencumbered active CT RN License
• Minimum of 2 years OR experience; ambulatory surgery center experience preferred, orthopedic preferred
• BLS and ACLS Certifications required
• Able to communicate effectively, and have an ability to work compatibly with all physicians and staff
• Must be able to speak, read and write English.
• Possess strong organizational skills, and a clear understanding of the importance of efficiency and cost effectiveness in an ambulatory surgery center
• Knowledge and clinical skills to perform the job duties of an OR Circulator RN
• A strong knowledge of aseptic technique, anesthetic agents and complications, and the ability to handle emergency situations
• Must have an aptitude for understanding, use of, and troubleshooting machines and equipment.
• Experience with Orthopedic procedures (specifically total joints) a plus
• Ability to scrub cases a plus
