Position is for 5 days a week (8 hours a day, M-F), NO Weekend and NO Holidays.

Position Shift Information

Full-Time 40 hours (5 days a week)

Purpose of the position

The Operating Room Medical Assistant is an integral part of the patient care team. They will be responsible for assisting with the cleaning & sterilization of the operating rooms, and room turnover procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Functions

• Assist with O.R. room turnover.
• Cleaning and disinfecting rooms and equipment.
• Assists in equipment setup.
• Assists with patient positioning.
• Transport/collects supplies needed for surgery.
• Maintains cleaning supplies within surgical areas.
• Prepares supplies and stocks shelves in operating rooms.
• Sets up positioning equipment for surgical procedures based on the surgeon's preference cards.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification OR Nurse's Aide Certification
• Minimum one (1) year Medical Assistant or C.N.A. experience preferred.
• Must be dependable and punctual.
