Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a part-time Night Shift Registered Nurse for the Oncology 6 RP Unit. The role includes caring for cancer patients, administering medications, chemotherapy, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The Oncology 6 RP Unit is a 36-bed inpatient Intermediate Care Unit dedicated to caring for patients with cancer. Nurses on this unit provide compassionate, specialized care while monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, delivering chemotherapy and other treatments, and supporting patients through complex care needs. Care provided on this unit includes chemotherapy, hospice, radiation, stem cell transplant/CAR-T, radioactive iodine, and symptom management.

This unit welcomes both new graduate nurses and experienced nurses transitioning into oncology or intermediate care. Sentara’s 11-week Transition to Practice program supports the orientation experience with focused knowledge development and hands-on skill acquisition for IMC practice. For new graduates, this program begins a comprehensive 6-month residency designed to support a confident transition into professional nursing practice. New graduate nurses are automatically enrolled, with no separate application required.
