Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's Greater Manchester Region in CT seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect patient-centered care using the nursing process. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and communicate changes in patients' conditions to ensure timely responses.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, CT RN licensure, BCLS/ACLS certifications, NCLEX completion within 90 days of graduation, and strong English communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and have a CT nursing license.
• Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification on hire or within orientation period.
• Graduate Nurse applicants must pass NCLEX by 90 days after graduation.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Utilizing the nursing process, provides high quality direct and indirect patient –centered care. Coordinates patient care by working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team. Communicates, as appropriate, the patient's clinical condition, responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide age appropriate care to the patient population served. Promotes the profession of nursing and professional practice through collegial support and interactions. Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current licensure in the State of Connecticut.
• Must have certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire or receive certification within the new employee introductory orientation period and maintain clinical competency during employment.
• Graduate Nurse applicants must pass NCLEX by 90 days of graduation date.

COMPETENCIES

• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally as well as in writing using the English language.
• Possesses basic computer skills.
